About Us

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in the year 2000 with an annual intake of 60 students. Currently the Department holds more than 500 students with the intake of 180 in Undergraduate and two PG programs in Communication Systems and VLSI Design.

It offers an under graduate program in Electronics and Communication Engineering with the following objectives

  • To train the students to become top Electronics and Communication Engineers.
  • To Provide avenues to the students for
    • Industrial training
    • Career counseling
    • Personality development to become responsible citizen of the nation.
  • To Strengthen industry institute interface cell. The department is accredited by NBA for its quality education and the institute is ISO certified. The department has a strong team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members with few of them registered for Ph. D. The department has some of the finest labs, with modern equipments like Digital storage Oscilloscope,Microwave sources and active, passive devices etc. which give the students hands on experience.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

PEO1 : Graduate will possess fundamental prerequisites in mathematical, scientific and engineering fields required to solve technical problems.

PEO2 : Graduates will possess proficiency in hardware languages and use of latest software tools so as to comprehend, analyse, design and create novel solutions for the real life problems.

PEO3 : Graduates will involve in professional and ethical environment, to build effective communication skills, multidisciplinary and teamwork skills and to relate engineering issues to broader social context.

PEO4 : Graduate will have the knowledge to adapt to the changing industrial needs and to become an entrepreneur to lead a successful professional career in lifelong learning.

PO1 : Students will demonstrate knowledge of differential equations, integral equations, vector calculus, complex variables, matrix theory, probability theory and random process, chemistry, physics and basic electrical & electronics engineering.

PO2 : Students will demonstrate an ability to identify, formulate and solve Electronics and Communication Engineersing problems.

PO3 : Students will demonstrate an ability to design electronic and electrical circuits and conduct experiments with electrical, electronics and communication systems, analyse and interpret data.

PO4 : Students will demonstrate an ability to design digital and analog systems, Signal processing and VLSI design related projects.

PO5 : Students will demonstrate an ability to visualize and work on laboratory and multi-disciplinary tasks.
